Strömfors Ruuk Helavalkeat

The new event for 2025 will be Strömfors Ruuk's Helavalkeat. The beloved Kekri festival will get a summery twist when a celebration of fireflies, inspired by Finnish folklore, comes to the village. There will be old-time magic, summer smells and natural delights, togetherness and much more.

Bead market in Strömfors Hall from 11-17! Come and see the wide range of Finnish handicrafts, local food products, design and handicrafts from Finnish folklore! Find gifts for summer parties or for yourself at home!

StrömforsArt gallery open throughout the event from 11-18! Come and meet some great artists in three different galleries. All works are for sale. Free admission!

Eija's Garden experience garden pop-up at Strömfors Ruuk from 11-15.Garden designer and founder of Eija's Garden Eija Keckman will be at the ruuk to give gardening tips. There will also be a selection of products from the garden shop - come and see the specials!

All of the wonderful boutiques in the pot are open at least from 11-17 in Helavalke! Come and discover Finnish craftsmanship, surprising gift ideas, fashion, design and vintage! At Ruukki you'll find gifts for summer parties!

The lovely restaurants in the ruins will be open for at least the whole event. Come and enjoy a varied selection and find your favourite!

Go paddling on the Kymijoki River and experience the pristine nature of the Kymijoki River, which has been dubbed the Amazon of Finland! Take part in a guided canoeing tour or rent equipment for an independent exploration! SUP-boats are also available! Read more about equipment rentals here!
