Outside the summer season, the majority of shops and small businesses serve only during events. The exception is the year-round A'la Talli shop and the Roseborg building pharmacy.

The Strömfors Ironworks attracts visitors with its excellent location - just a 20-minute drive from the centre of Loviisa. Coming from Helsinki via the E18 motorway, the journey takes just an hour, while from Kotka it takes half an hour. Those arriving from Kouvola can choose the West-Kymi Culture Road, which takes around 50 minutes.
