Christmas market at Strömfors Ruuk 29.-30.11.2025
The 2025 Strömfors Christmas Market will take place on 29-30 November from 11am to 5pm.
During the event, the wonderful pubs, restaurants, cafés and pop-ups of the pottery will be open!
The programme of the Ruuk Christmas Market:
Traditional market at the old plastic factory
There will be over 30 wonderful vendors of handicrafts, Christmas traditions and local food products! Usually closed to the public, the Plastic Factory opens its doors to the market for the first time! The Plastic Factory is located at Ahlströmintie 1.
Design&Vintage market in Strömfors Hall
Design&Vintage, last year's top-selling event, is back. There will be 20 vendors from the Finnish small producers' design and vintage scene! The hall is located in Alapaja, at Ruukintie 11.
Tallinmäki market
At Tallinmäki you will find several outdoor sales points: Finnish handicrafts, local food products and much more!
Animal trappers
The long-established Ruuki Male Singers of Swedenpyhtää Ruuk have a long tradition of performing Tiernapoi on Sat at 13 and 14.
Elf School on Christmas Moor
At Tallinmäki you will find the Christmas Moor workshop, where the little ones can take part in an elf school! The elf school is provided by Strömfors Ruukki. Sat and Sun 11am-3pm.
Pony rides and cart rides
At Tallinmäki, the youngest members of the family can ride on a pony or in a cart. Pony rides are offered by Strömfors Ruukki. Sat and Sun from 11am to 4pm.
Merikeinun Alpacas
At Tallinmäki you will find the most wonderful alpacas. Come and meet the furry creatures on Sunday from 12-14!
Santa Claus in Ruukki
Santa Claus will be in the area all weekend. Come and say hello to Santa and tell him your gift wishes!
Christmas tree decorating competition
Ruukki companies have decorated their own Christmas trees for the market and the public will vote for the winner. Two product prizes will be drawn from among those who voted!

Restaurant Ruukin Herkku
A Christmas buffet, a'la carte and grilled sausages on the terrace are available. Sat 9am-02pm (karaoke from 9pm), Sun open 9am-5pm, also rice pudding!
Black Feels -herkut
Musta Tuntuu nature-oriented stall & open fire sausages and buns at the corner of Värkhus (next to Kirkkosilta) during the event!
Pop Up cafés
At Tallinmäki you will find three different pop-up cafés, sweet and savoury, hot and cold drinks.

The event can also be accompanied by a refreshing day hike on the Kukuljärvi trail, and a peaceful overnight stay in our lovely accommodation.
The Christmas market at Ruukin Lava in Uutukainen is at the same time on Forsellesinintie.

Due to an illness, Paja Pizza&More is closed during the Christmas market.
Enter the prize draw to win a gift basket!
There are several trees decorated by entrepreneurs in the Ruuk area, and visitors can vote for the most beautiful one! Scan the QR code on the tree and by voting you will be entered into a prize draw for a gift basket.
Strömfors bruk julmarknad
Julmarknad is a Christmas event for the whole family, where we celebrate traditions and the celebration of Christmas. Come and make presentfynd till dig själv eller dina närmaste på tradition-, design- och vintagemarknaden! Förutom marknaden bjuder evenemanget på program från juliga musikframträdanden till ponnyridning och tomteverkstäder för de minsta i familjen.

A delightful day of handicrafts comes again with a Christmas theme. Put the day in your diary now and come and dedicate a day to yourself, alone or with friends, in the midst of the Christmas rush. There will again be a range of workshop options and a hearty lunch at the pottery. Christmas workshops will take place from 11am to 3pm.
