Strömfors Ruukin Kekri
Ancient meets present again in the most magical event of the year, at Strömfors Ruukin Kekr on Saturday 1.11! There will be fire, magic, spectacles, a beloved market and much more. Strömfors Kekri is an interpretation of the traditional Finnish Kekri festival. The whole family can enjoy a harvest-themed bake sale and a variety of fire and light shows at the ruins. Prizes for the best costumes! The evening will culminate in the Biscuit Burning.

This year, the Biscuit Market from 16-20 will take place both in the Stables and in the new Strömfors Hall. Come and make discoveries in the world of crafts, folklore and magic!
18:30 Announcement of the winner of the costume contest - In honour of the Strömfors Kekri tradition, the best dressed child and adult will be chosen from among the participants. The selection will take place on the Tallinmäki stage.
16:30 Spectacle - Historic battle and equestrian show - now winter-proof! The event starts with a bang as the enchanting horse show, wrapped in light and fire, arrives at Strömfors Stables.
All of the wonderful shops in the pottery and the Pajamuseum are open in Kekr from 16-20 (some a little earlier!) and are intertwined with the mood lighting and product ranges appropriate to the event. Come and meet our artisans!

19:00 Spectacle - Burning of the Kekripukki. The event culminates in the burning of the traditional Kekri doll on the Ruuk dam pond. Come and experience the light of the past to ward off evil and the darkness of autumn!
Restaurant Ruukin Herku serves a hearty and homely Kekri buffet during Kekri. And if you are still feeling fancy after 8 pm - welcome to the Kekri Karaoke of Origin - the best costume will be rewarded!

Programme
At 16 The event starts. The biscuit markets in the attic of Tallinmäki and Strömfors Hall open.
The shops and operators of Ruuk will open their doors to the atmosphere, and the Pajamuseum will also be open to visitors throughout the event.

At 18:45 the fire is picked up from the Upper Pavilion stove - After the announcement of the winner of the costume contest
The fire is picked up by the firekeeper from the Upper Pavilion drive, after which it is taken in a procession to Santa.
