Strömfors Kekri is an atmospheric event to spend an autumn evening with family and friends, enjoying the bounty of the harvest and a unique programme in a historic setting. On All Saints' Day, 2.11.2024 from 16-20.

Strömfors' Kekri is an interpretation of the traditional Kekri festival. During the day, you can visit a bake sale with treasures from local producers, harvest gifts and great handicrafts.

A historical forging demonstration will take you back in time, offering you the chance to experience the magic of old-time iron production.

The burning of the cracker is the much-anticipated highlight of the evening, lighting up the autumn evening and bringing with it the warmth of tradition.

The event will also feature a costume contest to award the most mysterious outfit of the autumn, and a roving cast of performers in the potted area will ensure that the Kekri atmosphere remains magical throughout the evening.

🔥 At 16 The event starts. The Biscuit Market in the attic of Tallinmäki opens. Ruuk's boutiques and operators open their doors, wrapped in atmosphere. Special programmes for the youngest members of the family.

🐎👑 At 16:30 Spectacle - Historical battle and equestrian show. The event starts with a bang as the enchanting horse show, wrapped in light and fire, arrives at Strömfors Tallinmäki.

🔨 At 17:15 Forging demonstration - In Kekr you can experience the 300-year history of Strömfors iron when in the Upper Workshop, blacksmith Lahti holds a forging demonstration from 17:15 to 18.In the demonstration you can witness the bending of iron to the will of the master blacksmith. 🎩 1 8:30 Announcement of the winner of the costume contest - In honour of the Strömfors Kekri tradition, the best dressed child and adult will be chosen from the participants. The selection will take place at the Strömfors Upper School.

🔥 At 18:45 The fire of the Kekri will be picked up from the Upper Pavilion oven - After the announcement of the winner of the costume competition, the Kekritär will pick up the torch fire from the Upper Pavilion drive, after which the fire will be escorted in a procession to Santa.

🐐 At 19:00 Spectacle - Burning of the Kekripuk. The event culminates in the burning of the traditional Kekri doll on Ruuk dam pond. Come and experience the light of the past to ward off evil and the darkness of autumn! 🕯

At 20.00 the Biscuit Market closes and the event ends.
